  1. I *like* John Carter. Sure, the book is better, but the film isn’t nearly as bad as critics made it out to be, and it’s a lot of fun in places. There are certainly things I’d have done differently, but as a student of film, and enemy of Hollyweird, that’s inevitable.

    Garfield was a decent Spidey, Routh was a good Superman, but man, the writing team blew it.
