Lets be fair here: there is NO level on which this movie succeeds. Not one. Characterization, comedy, coherency, concept, anything but the quality of special effects, and that’s not due to this movie but to the technical proficiency of Hollywood FX studios.
It’s a disaster on every single level, and you should avoid it. Or not, if you like pain. After all, I watched it, and it was pain. LEARN FROM MY EXAMPLE.
Now, unlike many people on the Internet, I don’t hold that Adam Sandler makes only garbage. So here, in no particular order, are several of the Sandler movies I’ve watched and enjoyed: The Wedding Singer, Grown Ups, Happy Gilmore, Big Daddy, Waterboy, and 50 First Dates. Do yourself a favor: watch one of them, instead.
